ATV Engineering Services Ltd have been Yamaha's sole official snowmobile dealer since the year 2000. We sell and service snowmobiles from both our Brockhills (Aberdeenshire) and Balirgowrie (Perthshire) branches. We carry a range of basic spares and accessories, including belts, plugs, tow-hooks, helmets etc. Parts supply is excellent due to Yamaha's central stocking facility in Europe. All other snowmobile accessories can be ordered, including sleds, carry boxes, clothing, ski protectors and performance parts.

Customers for our machines have included all the major ski centres in Scotland, estates, farmers and private individuals. We have also supplied machines to film and television producers, most notably for the movie 'xXx' starring Vin Diesel. The market is split between 'utility' machines (two seater models) and recreational machines (single seater sports models). Utility machines are used for many diverse purposes - from simply accessing your home in heavy snowfall (long access tracks can very easily become impassable to conventional vehicles - see picture) to getting out on the hill to repair transmitters or power lines, or to rescue stranded sheep (or even walkers!).

Yamaha snowmobiles are extremely simple to drive. You can learn the basics in 5 minutes. However, it takes considerable time and practice to learn to drive them safely. Because they can take you to places that are difficult, if not impossible, to access on foot, it is essential that basic safety precautions are followed and that you do not ride beyond your ability. For this reason, ATV Engineering promotes basic rider training on purchase of a new machine.

Due to the eratic snow season in the UK, ATV Engineering keeps a selection of machines at Glenshee Ski Centre, thus allowing customers to try before they buy. Even if you don't want to buy, Glenshee can organise a short tour on the machines for around £40 per person, giving you a unique opportunity to experience the power of these awesome machines in the surrounding for which they were intended.

Please note that delivery times for a new machine can be around 4 to 5 weeks, so if you are looking to purchase for the early November snowfalls, orders should be placed no later than September.
