Treasure hunt Hi, my name is steve and I live in United Kingdom. This is my story about me and my XJR1300 . I am looking for someone (a big motorcycle company) to help me push my event. Its been a real pain in the **** so far trying to get anyone interested. The funny thing is that this is a great national charity which will gather momentum as it is plastered all over the tele in the coming weeks, all am trying to do is get in early and create some interest. Anyway have a look at my brief below and see if you can help in anyway shape or form, ideally to get my riders l need it ‘out there’ or the backing of a big bike company…..? See what you think. Steve

Hi there, I get a great deal of letters asking me to help, I run a Superstore for Sainsbury’s. 9 times out of 10 l try and do something as l know how hard it is to raise money for charities these days (as there is always something going wrong) Last year l raised 18k along with my fellow riders for Comic Relief.

This year (see below) we are at it again. There are a couple of painless ways you could help, if you want too? Could you print the mail and attach the leaflet bit to the window of your premises? Do you have anything lying around that l could have as a prize? And even less painful could you ask around to see if you could drum up some support, l reckon on getting 50 riders no problems, it’s the other 50 l need. We are hopeful that local girl Liz Hurley will open the day so that might get people interested?? Would you like to be our sponsor – in name not money!!!

Kind regards, Steve Martin

Come join in the Biggest attempted Treasure hunt on Motorcycles!!

For Sport Relief this year, Sainsbury’s Supermarket in Banbury is organising a mass ride out to Snetterton race track, but with a twist. Each rider or groups of friends will be asked to take part in a Treasure hunt, finding sporting events as they ride out to the race track. The winners with the most inventive pictures taken will be awarded the prizes back at the store.

All the riders are asked to do is pay a joining fee of £7 (this covers the cost of the SR tee shirt) and then raise as much sponsorship as they can in aid of Sport relief.

The event is taking place on the 21st March with a prompt start time of 8am (enrolment from 7am, incl Bacon rolls and coffee) at Sainsbury’s Store ltd, Oxford Road, Banbury, OX16 9XA.
