The new 25hp engines will be available from UK dealers during June 2009 with the first units making their debut at the Seawork Show in Southampton (16-18th June). Ideal as workhorses for commercial users and workboats these robust new engines are also ideal for small RIBs and leisure craft.

Available in six different versions including; Tiller or Remote Control options, along with a Power Trim & Tilt model, Yamaha have ensured that there is a version to suit all applications and boat types. Two shaft lengths are available, Long Shaft to fit 20” transoms or Short Shaft to fit 15” transoms.

F25DMHS and F25DMHL
These are the "normal" Tiller Handle models with manual pull start. S and L shaft length versions.

F25DES and F25DEL
Remote control version with electric start. S and L shaft length versions.

F25DETL
Remote control, electric start, with Power Trim and Tilt. Long shaft only.

FT25FETL High Thrust
High Thrust, remote control, electric start, Power Trim and Tilt, Long Shaft. The High Thrust has a different gearbox with lower ratio. It is designed to turn a bigger, wide blade propeller designed for pushing displacement or semi displacement hulls rather than planing applications. Especially suitable where big loads are carried and top speed is not a priority.
