To improve customer service, we have
compiled this FAQ feature to help you find the answers to the
most commonly asked questions that we are contacted
for.
Q1: How can I get a replacement Owner’s Manual for my WaveRunner?
Owner manuals for current Yamaha models can normally be ordered through a Yamaha dealer (please remember to have details of your WaveRunner's serial number available so that they may be able to identify the correct manual).
Q2: Where is the serial number for my Yamaha WaveRunner?
There are three serial numbers on a Yamaha WaveRunner - a HIN number, an Engine and a Primary ID number. It is the latter that we use for genral identification purposes and is stamped on a label attached inside the engine compartment.
Q5: What is the warranty period for Yamaha WaveRunners?
2005 models: For private/domestice use Yamaha WaveRunners come with a two year warranty. For craft used on a commercial, business or hire basis the period is 6 months.
Pre 2005 models: For private/domestic use Yamaha WaveRunners come with a one year warranty. For craft used on a commercial, business or hire basis the period is three months.
If you experience a problem with your Yamaha WaveRunner which you believe should be dealt with under the terms of the manufacturer’s warranty, please promptly contact your Yamaha dealer to arrange for the WaveRunner to be inspected and any claim assessed.
All claims under warranty must be submitted on your behalf through an authorised Yamaha dealer. We regret that we are unable to accept warranty claims directly from owners.
