WARRANTY
Q1: What is the warranty period for a Yamaha scooters and motorcycles?
All new road legal Yamaha scooters and motorcycles of 51cc and above come with the reassurance of a comprehensive, free warranty with unlimited mileage for a full two years. All new road legal Yamaha mopeds, scooters and motorcycles under 51cc have a one year warranty. For all off-road machines the period is 90 days (parts only).

Q2: What is the warranty period for Yamaha Outboards?
For private/domestic use Yamaha Outboards come with a two year warranty. For engines used on a commercial, business or hire basis the period is one year.

Q3: What is the warranty period for Yamaha WaveRunners?
2005 models: For private/domestice use Yamaha WaveRunners come with a two year warranty. For craft used on a commercial, business or hire basis the period is 6 months.

Pre 2005 models: For private/domestic use Yamaha WaveRunnerss come with a one year warranty. For craft used on a commercial, business or hire basis the period is three months.

Q4: What is the warranty period for YAM Inflatables?
For private/domestic use the hull and seams of YAM Inflatables are covered for three years. All other components carry a one year warranty. For YAM Inflatables used on a commercial, business or hire basis all components have a six month warranty period.

Q5: What is the warranty period for Yamaha Stern Drives?
For private/domestic use Yamaha Stern Drives come with a one year warranty. For engines used on a commercial, business or hire basis the period is six months.

Utility ATVs - 12 mths
Mini Quads - 12 mths
Leisure Quads - 12 mths unless for competition use (3 mths)

All of our generators are supplied with a 12 month warranty.

Q9: Do I have to take my Yamaha product back to the selling dealer for warranty repairs?
No - although perhaps advisable, any authorised Yamaha dealer for that particular model, is able to carry out warranty repairs.

Q10: Is it possible to extend the factory supplied warranty on a Yamaha product?
The duration of the warranty is fixed and we regret that no extension is currently available.

Q11: How do I make a warranty claim?
If you experience a problem with your Yamaha motorcycle/marine/power product which you believe should be dealt with under the terms of the manufacturer’s warranty, please promptly contact your Yamaha dealer to arrange for the motorcycle/marine/power product to be inspected and any claim assessed.

All claims under warranty must be submitted on your behalf through an authorised Yamaha dealer. We regret that we are unable to accept warranty claims directly from owners.

Q12: Is the warranty on my Yamaha transferable?
Yes - The warranty is not affected by a change of ownership with any remaining period of cover being transferable to subsequent owners.
