most commonly asked questions that we are contacted
for.
Q1: How can I get a replacement Owner’s Manual for my Yamaha?
Owner manuals for current Yamaha models can normally be ordered through a Yamaha dealer (please remember to have details of your outboard's serial number available so that they may be able to identify the correct manual).
Q6: What is the warranty period for Yamaha Outboards?
For private/domestic use Yamaha Outboards 2008 model onwards come with a 3 year factory warranty (based on 2+1 years). However there is currently a promotion running whereby all four stroke outboards supplied through an authorised Yamaha Motor UK dealer for leisure use in the UK comes with an additional 2 year warranty (total 5 years) subject to T&C. For engines used on a commercial, business or hire basis the period is one year.
If you experience a problem with your Yamaha Outboard which you believe should be dealt with under the terms of the manufacturer’s warranty, please promptly contact your Yamaha dealer to arrange for the Outboard to be inspected and any claim assessed.
All claims under warranty must be submitted on your behalf through an authorised Yamaha dealer. We regret that we are unable to accept warranty claims directly from owners.
